Fair Use/Fair Dealing Week is nearly upon us! This year’s edition of the annual event commissioned by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) will take place next week from Monday, February 20 through Friday, February 24. More information can be found on the Fair Use/Fair Dealing Week website, including a list of participating organizations and a form you can use your own blog post, resource, or event. Check back next week for updates about what’s going on around the country and Canada! The Copyright Discussion Group at my institution, the University of Maryland, is hosting an ACRL Presents webcast called “Using Fair Use to Preserve and Share Disappearing Government Information: A Guide for Rogue Librarians” followed by presentations by three guest speakers. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21 from 2-4pm in our Engineering & Physical Sciences Library’s Multipurpose Room. More details can be found on the Library News & Events section of our website—stop by if you’re in the area!
